Marble
Definition
Marble is a hard crystalline metamorphic rock that takes a high polish resulting from the metamorphism of limestone, composed mostly of calcite commonly used for sculpture and as building material. The temperatures and pressures necessary to form marble usually destroy any fossils and sedimentary textures present in the original rock.
Uses
Marble can be used both internally and externally as, counter tops for kitchens, bathrooms & bar tops, fireplace hearths and surrounds, Bath Hobs and Fascia Panels, floor and wall tiles, cladding panels, decorative feature walls and flooring and much more. Marble has been used for many centuries throughout the world as structural building elements and decorative finishes in all manner of private, public, commercial and government buildings.
