Granite

Definition

Granite is a coarse grained igneous rock that consists predominantly of feldspar, quartz and mica.  The colour of granite can vary greatly depending on the particular chemical make up and mineralogy of the stone.  Whites, Pinks, Greys, Yellows, Reds, Blues, Greens, Browns and Blacks are all readily available and suitable for use in many and varied applications.

Uses

Granite can be used both internally and externally as, counter tops for kitchens, bathrooms & bar tops, fireplace hearths and surrounds, floor and wall tiles, paving, cladding panels, decorative feature walls and flooring and much more.  Granite has been used for many centuries throughout the world as structural building elements and decorative finishes in all manner of private, public, commercial and government buildings.
